Benson Park - Renovated in 20122013 6 12 Various outdoor 004.JPG
    Enjoy the new playground equipment, new picnic shelter, tennis court resurfacing and cement pathways to the Garden Plots.
    Benson Park contains 6.6 acres and is located at 5N598 Mill Road four blocks south of Irving Park Road on Mill Road. It includes the following features:

    • Baseball field
    • Two tennis courts
    • Hard-surface play area
    • Two-goal basketball court
    • Playground
    • Picnic Shelter
    • Garden Plots

    Clayson Park - Renovated in 2015
    Clayson Park contains 2 acres and is located at 800 N. Walnut; south of Thorndale Road between Maple, Walters, and Walnut Avenues. It has a playground and picnic shelter.

    Country Club Park
    Country Club Park contains 1.37 acres and is located on Country Club Drive and Surrey Lane in the Country Club Park Division. It has a playground and a basketball court.

    Franzen "Play for All" Park
    Beautifully renovated in 2007 with the aid of an OSLAD Grant and community fundraising, Franzen contains 3 acres and is located at 730 Catalpa. In 1991 Franzen was the first handicapped-accessible playground built in DuPage County.

    Itasca Softball Complex
    The Itasca Softball Complex contains 5.5 acres and is located at 704 N. Rohlwing Road. It has two lighted softball fields and a Concessions / Maintenance and restroom building.

    Peacock Park - Renovated 2014-2015

    Peacock Park contains 3.8 acres and is located behind Peacock School at 316 E. Bryn Mawr Ave. It features two softball fields, and soccer fields.
    The Itasca Park District was awarded a $396,200 Open S2013 Peacock Park Renovation Plan 2.JPGpace Lands Acquisition and Development Grant (OSLAD) from the Illinois Department of Natural Resources (IDNR). The $792,400 project began in 2014 and includes a loop trail, two half-court basketball courts, a multi-surface volleyball court, skate nodes, upgraded baseball field, soccer field, picnic shelter, baggo and bocce courts and more!

    Ray Franzen Bird Sanctuary
    The Ray Franzen Bird Sanctuary contains 11.84 acres and is located at 650 N. Rohlwing Road. It has walking trails for viewing birds and other wildlife. In January 2015 Itasca Park District was awarded a $363,500 OSLAD Grant from the Illinois Department of Natural Resources to renovate this site. A dog park, interpretive nature trail, outdoor fitness station, boardwalk, outdoor classroom and habitat restoration will accompany the new Heron's Hideaway area. Heron's Hideaway will add a nature based play area, a picnic shelter, grill and a baggo court. This project is expected to begin in early 2016.

    Schiller Park
    Schiller Park contains 2.5 acres and is located at 1002 Schiller St., on Broker and Schiller north of Irving Park Road. It has a playground, soccer field, and picnic area.

    Washington Park
    Washington Park contains 6 acres and is located immediately south of the intersection of Irving Park and Bloomingdale Roads. It includes the following features:

    • Five basketball goals
    • Three softball fields
    • Picnic tables
    • Playground
    • Batting cage
