Peacock Park contains 3.8 acres. The Itasca Park District was awarded a $396,200 Open Space Lands Acquisition and Development Grant (OSLAD) from the Illinois Department of Natural Resources (IDNR). The $792,400 project will begin in 2014 and will include a loop trail, 2 half-court basketball courts, a multi-surface volleyball court, skate nodes, upgraded baseball field, soccer field, picnic shelter, baggo and bocce courts and more.
