Take a walk as you read a book at the Springbrook Nature Center.

The Itasca Nature Center has teamed up with the Itasca Library to present a StoryWalk™, a fun way to combine reading and exercising. A series of signs throughout the Nature Center grounds feature spreads from a children’s picture book allowing a reader to follow along with a story by walking. 

We are featuring A Loud Winter's Nap by Katy Hudson. It starts at the loop next to the Nature Center building. This project is sponsored by the Itasca Park District, Itasca Library, and Friends of the Itasca Community Library. The StoryWalk ™ Project was created by Anne Ferguson of Montpelier, Vermont, and developed in collaboration with the Vermont Bicycle & Pedestrian Coalition and the Kellogg Hubbard Library
